Greetings to you!
I’m thrilled to have had a little flurry of new subscribers of late, and am acutely aware that it has now been just over two months since my last Substack post.
Following orthopaedic surgery in late May, my mental faculties shut down for most of June. Quite unprepared for how tired and spaced out I would be, post-op, I spent several weeks staring into space - when I wasn’t bingeing Netflix dramas, or drinking cups of tea with the visitors who have kept me sane while largely confined to home.
If you’re a recent subscriber: thank you so much for joining me here. Each new person who enters my tiny corner of Substack really does fill me with joy. If you’ve been here for a while, a big thank you to you, too, for sticking around - with my erratic posting ‘schedule’ and somewhat meandering themes!
My brain is now back online - which is a blessing and a curse! I have a piece in progress about the unexpected pleasures of my restricted day-to-day life of late, and several other bits and bobs in the works, including more poemish things that are shimmering in the ether and will, I hope, consent to being captured in words.
I will also be indulging my love for tarot in my separate Substack, ‘A Baggy-Trousered Tarotist’, which has been hovering in the wings…
Meantime, sending love, gratitude, and blessings to you.

Love to you too. I think I'm going to like it here.
Good to hear. 🌿
